Manipulating Americans Through Fear And Distrust

A terrorist is someone who tries to install fear into a society in order to control it. Usually that is done by using bombs or even anthrax. We have also witnessed the media used as a weapon to the create a state of panic and steer the frightened masses into a desired direction. "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" for instance, got us into Iraq. These are considered acts of psychological terrorism.

There is no greater conflict of interest than a politician who offers voters personal information about their opponents. This is especially true when that politician has never met the people he or she is condemning or drawing into the argument. It is possible, however, that Sarah Palin was once invited to shake Barack Obama's hand, after which I would assume he washed.

Sarah Palin is currently on a mission to frighten Americans. She is conjuring up images of Barack Obama as some evil ruler who "pals around with terrorists". The John McCain campaign is losing terribly and to avoid a landslide victory for Barack Obama, he and his own political puppeteers have decided to take the low road, again, by not talking about John McCain's strengths as a leader, but by trying to tear down the opposition. And if John McCain ever won, voters would be left with a man who never did tell them what he or Sarah Palin stood for, together.

The tragedy of this venomous gossip is that Sarah Palin is leading people away from talking about what is important to them, like their mortgages, or whether they're in for four more years of caskets coming back from Iraq, and possibly Iran. Luckily most Americans won't fall for Sarah Palin's fear mongering con job. John McCain has his own unbecoming past and even present alliances that don't seem to matter to Sarah Palin. Nor does she explain why she wants transparency in Washington but not in Alaska where Republican lawyers are trying to draw a curtain over her alleged abuses of power as Governor.

Americans know that William Ayers and other 60's radicals have nothing to do with Iraq, Osama Bin Laden, or the dreadful state of the economy. Why doesn't Sarah Palin know this as well and talk about it with the same enthusiasm? Maybe it's because she hasn't been told what to say yet. And that, "my friends" is the end of that.
