John McCain Is Desperate, My FriendsNothing To Lose But RespectUS Polls tell the whole story. John McCain has nothing left to lose. In early October, Barack Obama was already projected to win 330 electoral votes compared to McCain's paltry 175. And with Obama taking votes from typical Republican strongholds, there's only one thing left for McCain to do: create fear and panic. McCain's biggest support is mostly in those states that wouldn't vote for a black man - although they might not come out and say it except through an open window while speeding down mainstreet. McCain has begun a strategy of divide and conquer by scaring Americans away from the truth. He is trying to remind white voters that Barack Obama is a black man and that "they" don't see the world like "we" whites do. And to wash his hands of any taint, he's getting Sarah Palin to do it for him. Every time she says the words "Barack Hussein..." just think "muslim terrorist" and you'll be like herded like sheep into a wolf's pasture. It's hard to be polite and open minded when your entire future and political career are in a downward spiral. I think that the second debate, in which McCain referred to Obama as "this one" is only a foreshadowing of how he will try to paint Obama as too dark to lead white America. And should he win, he could prove himself the true architect of destruction as the recycler of four more Bush-like years. At 72, John McCain's political life is coming to an end. His message lacks the kind of hope and vision to draw anyone whose life is still ahead of them. Barack Obama is a young man in presidential terms. He has years of clear thinking and nation building ahead of him. So if you're interested in the future, you know your candidate.
