Who Are The Realitycheckers?

A Brief Explanation As To Why This Website Exists

A Realization

I've come to realize that there are two kinds of people in this world: those who are asleep, and those who are awakening. I have never met anyone who is entirely awakened since this would require them to live completely without problems of conscience, whether moral, emotional or intellectual. If this is you, then you're either a deity, or freshly deceased.

The Sleepers

Sleepers live in fear of change. They cling to what they know in order to avoid what they don't know, which is themselves living without the security of their traditions, habits and addictions. Sleepers deny or ignore their problems. That is why they are asleep.

Sleepers tend to live on the extremes of belief, whether as die-hard cynics or fanatical zealots of some ideology. Their extreme beliefs are used to avoid the center of human awareness, wherein lies uncertainty and therefore also the potential for change. Any attempts to awaken a sleeper are dangerous because they are afraid to leave the security of their circumstances, even if they happen to be miserable in them.

Sleepers feel threatened at all times. They operate on the emotional plane of wounded animals whose very survival is at risk. Giving and sharing make them feel as though they are losing or being depleted. Sleepers guard themselves emotionally and cower from self exposure. To them, uncertainty is a sign of weakness. They use aggression to ward off people and ideas that call their own beliefs into question. Ironically, few remain silent, choosing to rant instead as a pre-emptive strike, thereby drawing attention to their own fear and misery.

Sleepers see life as a competition. They don't cooperate; they try to take control. Sleepers are competitive, warlike and aggressive in their social behaviour. War and crime are the product of sleepers. Yet sleepers also yearn for joy and peace within, and so they too must one day begin to awaken.

If they do visit realitycheckers.com, the sleeper may only look for defects in my logic to gain some mental advantage for their own sacred worldview. Yet my worldview is fluid as I am in constant search of the truth. I'm not here to conquer anyone. My website is meant to assist those seeking to change and to clear a path to joy through wisdom rather than warfare. I am here to support those who wish to return to a state of innocence. I hope that you are, too.

The Awakening Realitycheckers

Those now awakening are the Realitycheckers. They have all the same problems as the sleepers do except that they are finally accepting and taking full responsibility for solving those problems for themselves. Realitycheckers are active in the process of healing their wounds so that they can better function in the world. Even their mistakes have purpose, for they are used as lessons to improve their power of awareness and future decision-making skills.

The awakening ones seek to love life, not fear it. They revere all things, human, animal or ecological. They seek a joy that does not come from the suffering of others; a peace that does not come through warfare. Realitycheckers seek peace within themselves. They are not religious but spiritual beings; people who live in the center of possibility where there is adventure and uncertainty — but also hope for our future not based upon reliving the mistakes of the past.

Realitycheckers are courageous because they dare to blame themselves first when there is a problem. This way they also look to themselves first for the solution. Realitycheckers seek the truth at the cost of leaving what they believe behind. And for this courage, I honor them with my website.

Welcome, Realitycheckers. My work is here to serve your needs. I'm not here to preach to you but to live by example. I will do my best not to complain but to explore and explain the many aspects of being which we call reality. And I will actively seek out my own mistakes so that I may also find their solutions. I hope that you will do the same.

All the best,
Roland Kriewaldt
