Quote THIS!

Edition #57 — June 3, 2004

Hi there realitycheckers. I confess, I don't watch a lot of TV news. I find the blood, gore, sports and weather formula too one-sided and depressing. I do, however, make a habit of scanning the news headlines at Yahoo.com or CNN.com and read whichever articles catch my eye. Sometimes I save things for further digestion.

It's a lucky thing, because this month's newsletter is a collage of quotes from some of those news articles attributed to anyone from The Dalai Lama to George W. Bush, Prince Charles and yes, even Ted Nugent.

All quotes are separated by an "*" asterisk. (Can I say that?) I'm sure you'll like this! So let's begin...

*
"They've proven to me that God is universal."

- famous UFO abductee, Betty Hill (Betty and Barney Hill — 1961)

*
"It currently takes over 50,000 dollars a day to maintain our television and radio airtime. We can't accomplish this monumental task on our own. We need your help. Together we can make a difference with the Word of God."

*
"Why, of course, the people don't want war....But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship...voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
